Vesperius is the beating, living heart of the Shadow Mechanics.

Vesperius is the deity of technology and order, the antithises of his sister Phosphoris, and one of the Lunar deities. He represents the cruelty of tyrants, and the fear they cause. Vesperius often takes the form of a metallic owl among his followers, the Nocten, who worship him as their tyrant king. Under his command, they construct vast mechanical cities in order to snuff out the light of the Lucen and their anarchic and luddite ways.
His presence is enough to twist and warp the world around him, corrupting it with geigeresq Machines that assimilate all life. In addition, he serves as the judge of the souls of the dead, snatching them away from his sister, and deciding weather to send them to Elysium , Avernus , or The Font of Souls.
Vespirus was formed when the original conflict between Light and Dark created a fissure in the heart of El, eventually causing it to split into the six Elemental Deities. Though Vesperius is minor compared to their power, he took the potential for ordered cruelty with him, and his existence intrigues many creatures and masters of the shadows.
On the rare occasion he makes his presence known to humans, he often apears in the form of either a diety of the underworld or a diety of the forge.
